Answers to common questions

What is a certified (court) translation in Croatia?
A certified translation is issued by a court-certified translator and includes an official certification statement, stamp, and signature. It is required for documents submitted to Croatian authorities, courts, universities, and many institutions abroad.
When do I need a certified translation?
You usually need a certified translation when documents are submitted for immigration, residence or work permits, Croatian citizenship, employment, legal procedures, or university admissions. If unsure, tell me where the document will be submitted.
Can I send documents online for a quote?
Yes. You can email PDF or JPG scans for an initial quote. Please include the purpose of the translation, where it will be submitted, and your deadline.
How long does a certified translation take?
Delivery time depends on document length and urgency. Same-day delivery is possible when schedule and volume allow. You will always receive a clear timeline before confirming the order.
What affects the price of a certified translation?
Price depends on document length, language direction (EN ⇄ HR), urgency, and certification requirements. You will receive a clear quote before any work begins.
Do I need to provide original documents?
For a quote, scans are sufficient. Whether a printed certified original is required depends on the receiving authority. I will advise you based on your specific case.
Can you ship certified translations internationally?
Yes. Printed certified translations can be shipped worldwide via DHL Express (typically 2–3 business days). Shipping is quoted separately and is not included in the translation price.
Are your translations accepted outside Croatia?
Yes. Certified translations are accepted by Croatian authorities and are often accepted abroad as well, depending on the institution. If required, I can advise on apostille or additional steps.
