- Certificate of no impediment to marriage (also known as a certificate of freedom to marry or single status certificate)
- Valid passport or ID copy
- Proof of citizenship or residency (if applicable)
- Divorce decree (if previously married)
- Death certificate of former spouse (if widowed)
For Recognition of a Foreign Marriage in Croatia:
- Marriage certificate (issued abroad)
- Certified translation of the certificate into Croatian
- Apostille (if applicable)
- Additional civil registry forms
